Hi Monkeys!

Monthly masterpiece

Hey Monkeys,

You all have been waiting for your first Monthly Masterpiece challenge and I'm so happy that today I am able to announce the very special challenge we have for you! If you don't know what the Monthly Masterpiece Challenge is, just click here to read about it. 

Theme: MiniMonos Beta Bananaza Photo Challenge!

Objective: Take a maximum of 7 pictures of you and your monkey friends throughout the MiniMonos Beta Bananaza and put your best snaps together in some great way!

Suggestions: It could be a real photo album, a digital photo album, a collage of photos, video or slideshow. You may want to include poetry, stories, captions or just let the pictures speak for themselves! 

Remember, it must be a maximum of 7 pictures only!

Prizes:

• 1st Place: 6 Month MiniMonos Gold Membership.
• 2nd Place: 1 Month MiniMonos Gold Membership.
• 3rd Place: 1 Month MiniMonos Gold Membership.

The prizes are AWESOME and creating your masterpiece couldn't get any easier with the new MiniMonos camera you all have!

Don't know what I am talking about? A couple days ago a new camera was released that monkeys can use to take pictures...

The camera is located on the bottom chat bar and is the furthest icon from the right! Just click it when you're ready to snap your photo!:

You can use the tools like the plus sign which allows you to zoom in or the minus sign which allows you to zoom out.

When you're ready, click the big red button to SNAP that pefect shot!


Once you've snapped, you can just click on each photo to download it, share it, or remove it!

For this contest you'll need to download your photos to your computer, create your masterpiece and email it to bananatastic@minimonos.com!

Yesterday we gave you the first clue and lots of monkeys guessed it was a pie party! However, it's actually not a pie party... although, you can eat pie at this party to celebrate! The first Beta Bananaza party is going to be MiniMonos' Birthday Party!!!  Our official birthday is April 1 so we want to celebrate it with you! WOOT!

Hey Monkeys it's Mattybon! You thought you got rid of me?!?! You thought I wasn't ever writitng a funny post ever again?!?!?!? Well thats crazy talk. I have been watching the other monkeys trying to top my posts and be the funny monkey but you know what....YOU CAN'T BEAT DA KING!!!
So I went out and found an awesome treehouse with a TV!! OMG I LOVE TV!! *puts on tv* EWWW I hate the fish channel! What else is on? *tries switching station* THE BUTTONS ARE STUCK?!?!?!
Koltor1 what kind of tv do you watch!?!? Thats right monkeys, this week's treehouse of the week is Koltor1! Congrats, buddy! Check out his treehouse:

Its Karate Time!! :D *karate chops treehouse* OH NO! LOOK OUT BELOW!!!! YOU GUYS SAW NOTHING! I can't believe I broke his treehouse! Well at least the windmill is still okay....nevermind. This cardboard cut out should by me some time when I rebuild his house.
Don't forget to say congrats to Koltor1 when you see him around the island. Also please decorate your treehouses guys! I saw a lot of empty treehouses and it made me sad. If you decorate you could be the next Treehouse of the Week!

New Monkey of the Month

Hey monkeys!
It's time to announce the Monkey of the Week!! Let's give a huge congratulations to.....Chimp!
Chimp is also another of our most ancient players on MiniMonos, who is really friendly and helpful to new monkeys and is very active on MiniMonos! He has been around MiniMonos since January 2010 too, just like Morty!
Chimp is also one of the very first monkeys to become an EcoMonkey too! :D You should check out his AWESOME eco-project that deals with helping Alligator Snapping Turtles and their habitat.
He is really motivated to help & inform others about being ecofriendly and his love for the Earth. Chimp loves to help new monkeys and those in need whenever he is around but he also loves to hang out and play with everyone too! ^.^
I think he totally deserves to be Monkey of the Week! Make sure to say congrats to Chimp when you see him around MiniMonos! :D

Minimonos Earth Hour!

Hello Monkeys,

On behalf of the MiniMonos team, I wanted to share with you the exciting news that all of us MiniMonos monkeys will be participating in Earth Hour 2011!

The purpose of Earth Hour is to raise awareness about how much energy we use each day. People from all around the world are asked to turn off lights and other electronics.

As New Zealand is the first country in the world to celebrate Earth Hour, MiniMonos will be participating in Earth Hour based on the New Zealand time zone!

This means that the MiniMonos servers will be switched off for one hour on Saturday, March 26 at 8.30pm in New Zealand.

In Monkey Standard Time, this is Saturday, March 26 at 12.30am!

While MiniMonos is switched off you could be asleep! If you're awake, you could read a book, play a board game by candlelight, go outside with your family for an evening walk, or you could do your EcoMonkey project!

Cade77 here from MiniMonos Experts! This week im posting TOTW :D And you will laugh! Soo! i was cruising around MiniMonos Island and i found the BEST tree-house of ALL TIME! You will be amazed with all the art they have put up! I also saw a cool monkey face on the wall...But that scared me:( KASH!!! Lol Anyway the person who won is... MUTT! Woot! lets look at his house!

Hey Monkeys,
Have you checked out the brand new MiniMonos Updates that were released yesterday? They are really exciting and awesome! If you haven't seen them yet, here's a bit of info and some cool pictures of them! You should definitely login to MiniMonos to check them out!
MiniMonos has released a brand new room called the Info Center and it is a pretty cool room to hang around in because it is high up and the view is great!! When you hover over one of the posters it should show a ''Go'' button that takes you to the poster location that you picked!

I totally love it!! MiniMonos did a great job on this room and it is a great place to meet new friends! I even heard that any monkey who hangs out there and helps new monkeys will have a chance to win banana chips! Very Cool!
MiniMonos has also added a second update which is brand new Xpowers and they are really cool!The new X-Powers are Go Green Bananas, Go Gold Bananas, and Go Green Goo! I love how MiniMonos added ''Go Green Goo'' and now monkeys that want to get that X-Power may do so! Cool!

There are brand new awesome signs all around MiniMonos! They'll be great for new monkeys to find their way around, and the signs also make a pretty cool effect when you hover over them:  footprints to your location!

Wow, these updates are really cool and I think MiniMonos did a great job with these updates! I totally love them! Make sure to log onto MiniMonos and check them out if you haven't yet! They are pretty awesome! You should leave a comment and tell MiniMonos which of the updates you liked best in this new release!!
